Children’s art exhibition and Student art exhibition
Open Day was celebrated at IISER Pune to celebrate Children’s Day. While several school teams put up an exhibition of science projects, Khula Aasmaan put up a painting exhibition of child art and young art featuring select medal winning artworks from previous Khula Aasmaan contests. School and college students were invited to visit IISER Pune campus on Saturday 16 November to see Khula Aasmaan art exhibition and participate in the painting contest. The exhibition featured all gold medal winning artworks from previous Khula Aasmaan art competitions.

The exhibition featuring gold medal winning artworks by children and young adults drew a huge response. A large number of school children, teachers and parents visited the painting exhibition. They were observing the artworks on display at close quarters, reacting to the child art and taking lots of pictures.
Milind Vishwas Sathe is the founder of Art India Foundation, a non profit organisation, which runs "Khula Aasmaan" as its flagship project. Khula Aasmaan is a platform for creative expression by children. Khula Aasmaan is free.
Milind also runs Indiaart Gallery, the art portal www.indiaart.com and New Media Ventures which is a consulting firm in the area of digital strategy. He is an avid photographer and a blogger. His active interests include travel, photography, cycling, history, media and social transformation projects.
