Children art contest
Khula Aasmaan children art contest and young artists contest for the quarter April to June 2018 saw a marked increase in the number of entries received. Apart from the number of entries, the geographical spread and the diversity increased too. Therefore, the shortlisting process for this art contest for children and young artists was challenging.

Judging process of Khula Aasmaan painting contest
Khula Aasmaan aims to encourage creative thought and action. The judging process of this children art contest is thus suitably designed. Most importantly, we shortlist those artworks in this painting contest which show originality of thought or concept and its unique execution. Mere skill may not sufficient to get shortlisted in this art contest for children and young artists. Shortlisting the artworks from the large number of online entries received for this painting competition was not easy. Besides that, we had to pick up medal winners and honourable mentions from among the wonderful shortlisted artworks received for this painting contest. This was even more challenging.
Khula Aasmaan is all about diversity and quality
The quality of the artworks which have won medals and honourable mentions in Khula Aasmaan children art contest and young artists contest is outstanding. It just shows the kind of latent talent available across India. These students belong to diverse communities, linguistic groups and geographies and that is the essence and beauty of India.
Repeat participation
Another phenomenon I am personally happy about is the fact that most of the students who were shortlisted earlier or have been medal winners in this art contest for children and young artists, are participating in Khula Aasmaan again and again. Besides that, some of them have been repeat medalists. Khula Aasmaan feels happy and proud to be able to discover these gems. We hope to be the catalysts for this raw talent and nurture them. We are sure that they will find their place under the sun and emerge as thought leaders in their respective fields.
