Description: Nishad Raj ordered Kevat to take Lord Rama and mata Sita and Lakshmana in his boat to cross the river Ganga at the start of 14 year vanvas. Chinmayee selected this Ramayana river crossing story for her painting as she found this incident to be very emotional and the start of the 14 year exile for Rama, Sita and Laxman.

Ramayana Art Project
This project by Khula Aasmaan (खुला आसमान) involved an art competition on Ramayana. Children, young adults as well as people of all ages were invited to paint characters, incidents and landscapes from the epic Ramayana. This painting competition received a fantastic response. We are happy to have received beautiful artworks that have been shortlisted from this painting contest.
We requested the shortlisted artists to record a short audio to talk about their artwork. We have received these audios. Happy to share these wonderful narrations by these talented artists about their art in the form of videos and audios.
