Morning walks and cycle rides

Morning walks and cycle ride in the university campus have always been a source of sheer joy. The sprawling campus of Pune university (now Savitribai Phule Pune university) has its own charm. The best thing is that the charm is different for each season. At no point of time during the year, this campus discourages you for a brisk walk or a bicycle ride.

Spread over more than 400 acres, University of Pune was established in 1949. In 2014, it was renamed to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

Morning walks inside the garden

It has taken time but the garden and the walking path have vastly improved. The garden is a real treat and a go to place for morning walks.

Cycle ride

The best thing about cycling in the university campus is that each ride has a different route. Over the years, I have realised that for almost each cycle ride, I end up following a different route. The cycling route gets decided on the spur of the moment once you are inside the campus. The only thing missing is decent tea places where one could stop by for chai and refreshments.

The Battle Tank

While I saw this battle tank in the university campus so many times, this sight had to be captured. The beauty of this visual is that it can be interpreted in so many ways. Truly, a photographer’s delight !
